I had to leave school at 15 for family reasons. I married young and had children. As years went by I wished I had some qualifications. I had always read a lot and did plenty of crossword puzzles and quizzes. This probably kept my brain active. I promised myself trot would, one day, go to night school or something similar. Years passed and despite all my good intentions never did anything about it. Then we moved into a new house and, by concdence, my next door neighbour worked in adult education. She had given lots of courses over the years and she persuaded me to go with her. decided to take on English course. The first day arrived and I was so nervous as I made my way to the Centre. I didn't know what to expect but it was great. realy enjoyed the whole experience and even welcomed homework! I think I am capable of much more than I gave myself credit for. I've become much more confident, not just in college but in my everyday ife as well. I can handle so many situations now without berg overwhelmed. I'm sure this is my first step to a new period in my life. Why did wait so long?
